GAME CHANGER SPOTLIGHT
Celebrating the young people who are making a difference.
The Lubbock Game Changer Spotlight recognizes outstanding young people in Lubbock and West Texas who are making a positive impact in their schools, teams, families, and communities.
We believe being a Game Changer is about more than what happens on the court or field. It is about character, leadership, perseverance, kindness, service, and the way a young person inspires the people around them.
Sometimes the biggest Game Changers are the kids who quietly lead by example, overcome challenges, encourage others, give back to their community, or simply make the people around them better.
We want to recognize them.
Who can be nominated?
We invite parents, coaches, teachers, schools, teammates, youth organizations, and community members to nominate a young person who deserves to be recognized.
Nominees may be recognized for:
-
🏆 Leadership on and off the court or field
-
❤️ Character and kindness
-
💪 Overcoming adversity and perseverance
-
📚 Academic achievement and dedication
-
🤝 Helping and encouraging others
-
🌟 Community service
-
🏀 Athletic achievement and sportsmanship
-
👏 Being a positive role model for other young people
You don't have to be a star athlete to be a Game Changer.
You simply have to be a young person who is making a difference.
How we spotlight our game changers
Each selected Game Changer will have an opportunity to have their story shared with the Lubbock community through Lubbock Game Changers social media and website features, photographs, and other recognition opportunities.
Our goal is simple:
Give great kids a platform. Tell their stories. Celebrate their accomplishments. And remind our community that the future of Lubbock is already making a difference today.
