President / Dreamer / Idea Guy
Rhett Butler, MD, MS
​
Rhett is a physician, performing artist, author, film-maker, keynote speaker and basketball coach. He is married to Nicole and has two sons, Owen and Clark.
Rhett was accepted into medical school at 44-years-old after his brother, Ashley died of cancer. The Butler family moved to Lubbock in 2021 when he joined the Internal Medicine Residency Program at TTUHSC. He is now a Fellow in the TTUHSC Hematology/Oncology Program.

Rhett has performed his unique style of guitar throughout the United States and Europe over a 20-year career and has millions of views on YouTube. His documentary, "Chasing Miracles", was selected for the 2011 Dallas International Film Festival.
​
Rhett's alter-ego, Coach Butler, has become well-known in the Lubbock area for his intense and booming voice that echoes in basketball gyms on weekends. Love him or not, chances are you have heard him before.

Nicole Butler, CPA, MBA

Nicole is a wife and mother of two active boys, deeply rooted in her community and passionate about making a positive impact in Lubbock, Texas. Whether she’s cheering enthusiastically at her sons' basketball games or dedicating time to local volunteer efforts, Nicole thrives on engaging with those around her.
Professionally, Nicole brings over 20 years of experience in tax, specializing in land investments and real estate development. She is continuously expanding her expertise and is driven by a passion for growth—both personally and professionally. In addition to her career, Nicole serves as a board member for the Wolfforth Economic Development Corporation, where she advocates for the area’s economic growth and helps drive the success of the community. She is a firm believer that everyone has unique gifts and talents to offer, and that by working together, we can strengthen and improve our community.

VP of Volleyball Programs & Athlete Engagement
Natasha Campbell

Natasha Campbell is a highly respected volleyball coach and the founder and owner of Next Level Volleyball Club in Lubbock, Texas. A West Texas native, Natasha developed a deep passion for sports at a young age, excelling in multiple sports throughout high school. Her coaching journey began when she volunteered with her sister-in-law and the local homeschool group. Over time, Natasha realized her true calling was coaching, and her dedication to player development quickly became evident.
​
​In addition to her work at Next Level Volleyball Club, Natasha has served on the Sun Country Volleyball Region Association Board of Directors since 2015, taking on multiple roles. She is currently serving as the Region’s Commissioner/CEO, further contributing to the development of volleyball in her community and the region.
​
Natasha also works for Gold Medal Squared, an elite volleyball training company, where she is responsible for hiring, bringing her expertise and insight into shaping the future of volleyball coaching at the highest levels.
​
With her strong leadership skills, coaching expertise, and experience in facilities management, Natasha plays a pivotal role in the success of this project.

Paul Campbell
Paul Campbell is a seasoned retail professional with over 30 years of experience at United Supermarkets. A lifelong resident of Lubbock, Texas, Paul currently serves as the General Manager of Market Street at 98th and Quaker. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in a variety of store locations, ranging in size and scope, and has built a reputation for excellence in team development, operational efficiency, and guest service.
​
In addition to his professional achievements, Paul is actively engaged in community development. He has served on the UnitedWay Committee and is currently a member of the Lubbock Economic Development Committee, where he contributes his experience and insight to local initiatives.
Paul and his wife, Natasha Campbell, are proud parents of two sons, Kolby and Logan. ​​​​​​​​​

Zac Buchanan​​​

Zac Buchanan, a Lubbock native, honed his competitive spirit on the basketball courts of Frenship High School before continuing his athletic journey at Lubbock Christian University. Today, he leads as the Franchising Director for Bahama Bucks, bringing his entrepreneurial drive to the forefront.
​
Beyond his professional success, Zac deeply values his family. Married to Paige, they are raising four children within the vibrant Lubbock community. A dedicated mentor to young athletes, Zac has invested over a decade in nurturing their skills and fostering a love for the game. Driven by a vision for a thriving athletic landscape, Zac champions the development of a world-class multisport facility in Lubbock. He believes this endeavor will not only elevate the athletic potential of local youth but also significantly drive economic development and prosperity for the city.

Zac Buchanan embodies the spirit of Lubbock, a blend of ambition, community involvement, and a deep-rooted love for his hometown. His commitment to fostering a legacy of athletic excellence exemplifies his dedication to making Lubbock an even better place for future generations.

Paige Buchanan

Paige Buchanan, a passionate and accomplished basketball coach from Lubbock, Texas, made a lasting impact during her tenure as the head girls’ basketball coach at Trinity Christian School. Under her leadership, the team achieved the ultimate milestone of winning a state championship, solidifying her reputation as an exceptional mentor and strategist.
​
In addition to her coaching success, Paige is married to Zac Buchanan, and is part-owner of Bahama Buck’s, a beloved shaved ice franchise headquartered in Lubbock. Together, they have built a life centered on family, faith, and community, raising three children, Zaiah, Kiah and Lincoln, who are making their own marks. Their daughter, Zaiah, followed in Paige’s footsteps by excelling in athletics, earning accolades such as Volleyball Offensive Player of the Year at Frenship High School in 2022. Kiah is a standout basketball player at Frenship High School. Lincoln is one of the most talented 7th-grade basketball players in West Texas.

Through her contributions as a coach and community leader, Paige continues to inspire the next generation, ensuring her legacy of excellence and service endures.

VP of Fundraising
Corie Merchant
​
Corie Merchant is a born-and-raised, lifelong native of Lubbock, graduating from Frenship High School and an alumnus of Texas Tech University. She is wife to a passionate basketball man, and mother to 3 small basketball players, all of whom have furthered her love and commitment to the game. When she’s not supporting the Red Raiders, her loudest cheers are heard in any gym or field where her children are playing.
Besides her most important role of Mother, Corie is involved in numerous causes around the Lubbock Community. She serves on the Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation, as well at the Central Elementary PTO Board. She’s also served on numerous committees, including YWCA’s Wine Women & Shoes, March of Dimes Signature Chef, and Blue Party, all fundraising efforts for the city, and Campaign Coordinator for Mike Dalby. Prior to motherhood, she was an Agent for Aycock & Fowler Insurance Agency. Corie has always excelled in relationships and is fully committed to serving Lubbock in any capacity.
Corie hopes to leave a legacy in this community which will benefit the city for generations to come, especially to honor her own legacies: Britton, Madden and Sutton.

Trey Merchant

Trey Merchant is a principal at 7B Building & Development, a real estate, development, and construction firm based in Lubbock. A former basketball player at Lubbock Christian University, he later graduated from Texas Tech University in 2012. He now serves as the CEO of Champion Xpress Car Wash, an express tunnel car wash brand operating 57 locations across six states, as well as the Director of Business Development for 7B, helping to shape the region’s future through innovative projects.
​
Deeply rooted in faith and family, Trey and his wife, Corie, have three children—twins Britton and Madden, and their daughter, Sutton. He is passionate about youth sports and is actively involved in coaching, leading his sons' basketball team, the Lubbock Legends, and his daughter's team, the Lady Legends. He enjoys mentoring young athletes, emphasizing character development, leadership, and the valuable life lessons sports can teach beyond the game.
​
An avid sports enthusiast, Trey enjoys golf, hunting, and supporting Texas Tech basketball. He has also served on the board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where he combines his love for athletics and faith to inspire and guide the next generation.
